Women's Workforce WEB  (WWW) is an organization, made up of retired teachers and supporters of public education.  It was created to assist economically challenged  women and academically challenged children in a unique symbiotic relationship.  Women are carefully screened and supporterd  as they volunteer in schools in Guilford  County.  Women receive hands-on job skill training while children get  extra instructional help in the classroom.  Children and teachers have benefitted from this program at the following schools: Archer Elementary, Brightwood Elementary, Kirkman Elementary, Gillespie Elementary, Sternberger Elementary, Hampton Academy, Falkener Elementary, Wiley Elementary, Hunter Elementary, Rankin Elementary, Peeler Open, Peck Elementary, and Washington Street School.

WWW is a 501(c) 3 non-profit that was organized on September 27, 2000 in Greensboro, North Carolina.  In addition to the training program that helps women and children, we also offer workshops to PTA groups and organizations.  How Parents Can Stimulate Learning, Reading, and Webbing are two workshops that are offered. These workshops were designed to help parents, through demonstrations and hands-on experience assist  beginning and remedial readers.

Since Grandparents play an important role in the family, we  welcome  women 55 and older. Their wisdom and experience are very valuable.

Our office is located in the basement at 1106 East Market Street across from the Ron McNair building on A & T's campus. Call 336-370-4687 for more information and registration.  Classes are from January until April and September until December.

. Fundraising includes: The Annual Children's Jubilee, the Annual Fish Fry, individual donations, corporate giving and grants.  Individual contributions are welcomed and are tax deductible. Each year Women's Workforce WEB sponsors The Chidren's Jubilee, a gathering of youth choirs throughout the Greensboro area - for an afternoon of singing, dancing, mime, and rejoicing while giving God the glory.

This year the  Children's Jubilee will be on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Howard A. Chubbs Enrichment Center at Providence Baptist Church 1106 Tuscaloosa Street in Greensboro, North Carolina.
